Got my boys a pumpkin from Sainsbury’s. Does anyone have any tips on how it should be fed? This is their first time trying it. Thanks

Mine weren't keen on eating pumpkin at all but I hollowed it out and put them inside to take Halloween pigtures :) they had a bit of a nibble but mostly my giant african snails ate it... I guess they might eat it like melon and mostly eat the rind with a bit of flesh on?

I'm trying my three with some pieces left over from the pumpkin carving session at my son's Scouts tonight. How much should they be allowed per day and how frequently can it be fed? Is it like carrot, ie feed sparingly ?

I put the whole thing in for my piggies, it took them a couple of days but they ate it all

Pumpkin is high in vit a. People say dont feed too much carrot because of vitamin a is high. But i dont know why

Aldi has a special offer on pumpkins today (80p each!) so we might try again (and take more Halloween pics!).
