Hi,
Just wondering if it is ok for guineas to eat pumpkin, we are likely to have vast amounts of it over the next couple of weeks? And is swede ok too.
Any advice is much appreciated
According to my list of guinea pig veggies, pumpkin is fine to eat tho not very high in vitamin C, says 9 per 100g and for calcium: 21 per 100g.
I'm actually about to big some fresh pumpkin home myself. Let's see if they like it! (I have picky pigs)
Thanks for your advice, I will give it a go, shame for it to go to waste, once the inside is carved out, no one in my house will eat it, so fingers crossed my two guineas like it.

Yep! I just finished carving my pumpkin half an hour ago and checked the guinea pig shopping list on the forum and it was confirmed they could eat it. Gave it to Gilbert (his first time with pumpkin) and he loves it! Was purring all the way. Hope your pigs enjoy!
