My poor piggle Pumpkin has got some kind of fungal infection, and she has a couple of bald patches on her back. I've treated her with GG Manuka and Neem Shampoo, and also the CocoNeem Melt. I was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions as to what I can do for the poor girl?

woah! Deep breath!

First response: TAKE HER TO A VET!

Has the fungal diagnosis been cultured and confirmed by a vet?

Otherwise....it could be something else...(mites?).....and please don;t tryand diagnose from the posts/threads on this forum.......every guinea is different and you really shouldnt treat until you have a firm diagnosis from the vet as to what the problem really is.

Bad patches in the back could mean plenty of things...from fungal to mites to hormonal.......

The best thing for your piggie (given her circumstances) is to make sure she gets to a cavy savy vet and gets the best tests/diagnosis/treatment.......

Sadly, there are too many sad cases here on GPF where people have tried to self diagnose the piggie's condition (often to save money in vets bills)...and the piggie has ended up suffering unnecessarily..and even dying as a result of a misinofrmed diagnosis.

Please...get a proper vet inspection/testing done.......once we know what we're dealing with, we can advise........it's pointless just "guessing"
