Punctured cornea

Liquorice has this injury, she's started on eye drops (antibiotics) to take twice a day for the next 7 days. Although the eye has a bluish tinge (not good), I've already seen an improvement in just 14 hours since beginning of treatment.
Her appetite is healthy and she hasn't lost her sight in the poorly eye. She weighs 1.05 KG

Apart from the mark on her eye, you wouldn't know there was anything wrong.. All the bluish tint has vanished, replaced by a healthy looking cornea. 2 days of antibiotics, and she's looking almost there, just another 5 days, and she can come off them.. I'm over the moon! |)

It should heal within a week to ten days. If it hasn't please see the vet.

She's already booked in to see the vet regardless next Wed.. of she starts keeping her eye closed she'll get some painkillers, but atm, she's doing fine

She was such a good girl at the vets, didn't make a sound, just let the vet get on with it. She put a green solution in her eye to help spot the problem.

Wonderful to know Liquorice is getting better and that you are keeping on top of the situation. You vet sounds like a good one. I like vets who do follow-up appts.
