The girls are in the dining room room as it’s the coolest room, I have put them on the floor covered in puppy training pads…they have a large fleece on top of the pads. However one of them has been nibbling a pad …just wondering if they will have difficulty digesting it

It’s not great for them to nibble at them but it happens. They don’t usually come to any harm from a little nibble but you should Keep an eye on her and ensure she is still eating, drinking, pooping properly over the coming day or two.
(Obviously try to block access to the pads in any way you can).
See a vet if you notice any signs of concern

I use the washable puppy/ incontinence pads as cage liners with fleece/vetbed etc over the top - they are great ,cheap and never get chewed and you can wash them at 60

I used to use these under wood chip but had a piggy who would dig and nibble them. To be honest she probably did eat a fair bit in her time until I realised and stopped using them. It’s not good for them but a tiny bit isn’t awful. Try to use hideys to weigh down the fleece so they can’t get under it?
