I put my brother in charge of my piggies while I am at work everyday and I'm trying to find a suitable list of food and the amounts of each to give to him so he knows what I'm talking about when I talk about their food consumption. He is a novice when it comes to caring for them so he just listens to what I tell him, but if I had a list it'd make it easier for him to reference it then asking me while I'm busy with a 5 month old baby. If any of you can help that'd absolutely wonderful.

How long at you at work for? Is it the morning onwards or evening that he looks after them? :) and what is you already tell him to do.

I'm at work from 7 am to 5 pm.
I have told him they need at least a cup of veggies each a day (I want to get a different variety of veggies for them but I need to have a specific list of the amounts so my brother doesn't over do it), that they need an endless supply of hay everyday and to let them out of their cage every day for about half an hour so they can run around. He does that from Monday to Friday. I also have him check their weight everyday at the same times.

Is there any reason why you couldn’t prepare the veg the night before and leave in a bag or tub so that all he has to do is go feed them each day. That way you’d know exactly what your piggies are eating.

Hi, I'm out the house from about 8.00 to 5.00 every day. What I do is poop pick the cages, sit with them and hand feed pellets then do their veg, waters and hay, then I sit in their room and chat to them while I eat breakfast...then I get ready for work - I generally get up about 6.30 to give me time to do this. It's a lovely way to start the day. Could you maybe do something like this along with your brother for a while, until he gets used to what's involved in looking after them?
