O

organicsab

is it okay to have them in the hutch during the week and then on the weekend putting them out in the run on the grass? is that enough for them, or should i put them in the afternoons too? I'm just asking cuz I'm buying an outdoor run, but this run can be attached to their hutch, which will make it even bigger than it is, but then i can take it off and put it on the grass.

As much time as you can spare to put them on the grass. Fresh grass, outdoors it's a pig's life! Usual warning, make sure they are secure to prevent escape and to make sure no predators can get to them.
Provide a covered area, away from draughts and rain. Above all make sure there is no possibility of them becoming too hot and getting heat exhaustion. Make sure they can't "follow the sun round" some of them go out of their way to lie out in the sun. You may care to covers their ears with cream, especially light-skinned pigs, to prevent sun-burn.

The more time on grass the better. Keep them safe from predators and provide cover from the sun. I have just noticed where you live. Cover their ears with sun cream to prevent sun-burn.

Apologies, the first post didn't appear until after I typed the second one.

As long as the grass isn't damp and the temp is over 10 degrees that is what I go by. :)
