I was just wondering what the best length of time is to keep a new pig separate? We have had her for a week now and thought that since she was so young it would be better to have her meet the other 2 (9month old boar & 18th month old sow) sooner rather than later.

I would keep her seperate for at least 2 weeks.

If they are all sows it shouldnt matter when or how old they are introduced, they should accept eachother, no problems :)

She will be joining a boar and a sow. My boar is skittish and my sow is v. bossy! I hope she will be ok as she is so so tiny and don't want her to get hurt. I have a thistle hall cage for them all so hoepfully space won't be an issue.

I would keep her away from them at least another week. If the new piggie is tiny and skitish let het grow a little in size as well as her trust in you :)

I wait 4, I must be a right meanie :o ;D

But I know most people I speak to wait 2 O0

She came from a pet shop. Can I give her any mite treatments at 7 weeks old? I only ask because the other 2 were only done 3 weeks ago.

Thanks for that. I took my other 2 to the vet so I will take Baby. Also want to double check she definately is a girl!
