As we know the winter nights are slowly drawing in closer! and I wanted to think about changing my bedding.

The boys are currently on carefresh, and i dont find this particually expensive (I have the Sage House from p@h) although to be honest I'm not finding it particually cost effective at the moment. For one, i find that when i clean it out the only part of it they pee and poop in is one cornor by the end of the ramp, though i continue to clean it all out every week (and that cornor that they pee in every other day) and disinfect it because I dont like the thought of it all musty :)) As well as this i find in the top layer they end up kicking all of it down the edge and I have to redo it every day.

I was thinking about fleece? But what do you put underneath it? just basically what everyone thought was a more cost effective and warmer bedding for the winter!

Vet bed could work out well if you get the good quality one. Layers of newspaper underneath. If outside, they will need hay or snuggle houses/tubes to go in as well.

They are outside but in a brick shed, so it never actually gets too cold in there though they both have snugs (which desperately need replacing :)) ) and plenty of hay of course. Only thing that worries me about vetbed is getting the hay out of it?
