Clover grows prolifically in our garden and the piggies adore it as a treat. But it's got hundreds of little flowes on it at the moment, can the pigs eat the flowers as well or must I pick all the flowers off like I have just sat and done?

(Also I was horrified to read on a site (Diddly Di - someone here recommended it) that they shouldn't eat daisies - mine have eaten quite a few, a book I got from the library said it was fine, - they're not poisonous like buttercups are they? I shall be on my hands and knees before I put the run on the grass, clearing the grass of daisies before I put them out there. Our grass has thousands and thousands of daisies!)

Mine have ate daises and also a couple of buttercups in the past. Buttercups being poisonous if eaten in large quantities :)

i dont feed mine stuff from my gardan liek that as my cat and his girlfriend wee in them

I'd like to get to the bottom of this. I've read somewhere that they can't eat daisies, but somewhere else, I read that they can! I tend not to move our hutch around the garden as we have foxes (who currently have 5 cubs - delight to watch!). But my boys only go out there on weekends or days off when I can watch them out there!

What about the clover though? Anybody know if they can eat the flowes as well as the leaves?

To my knowledge Clover should be feed in small amounts and I wouldn't suggest letting them eat the little flowers and Daisies are dangerous/ poisonous and guineas should never be allowed to eat them. :)

Thanks for the info! I never knew that. :)

What is the use in buying/borrowing books when the info conflicts so much? :tickedoff:

;D If I find out or read something is dangerous I don't feed it just in case, and if I am in doubt I don't. O0
