question about males

do males ever go in "heat" Just the last couple days my boy buddy has been really weird running away more and not pooping/peeing in his bin as much more so on the towels.. Its not like him and I was just curious as to if he could be in heat you know and just be aggravated? Hes getting nuetered tomm AM also... please advise

No male pigs do not go into heat, once neutered wait 6 weeks before introducing him to your female to make sure there are no baby sperm left in his body.

Thank goodness they dont thats all I can say I don't think I would cope if they did go into heat as we have three men and a little lady, who just had her first season with us while we were on holiday and by all accounts from mum and dad it was like a derby race inside their cage with Rikki trying to have his way with Paloma rolleyes good job he has been neutered

What did yours do that you knew she was in season? like what were her signs?

Signs of a girl on her own being in season are not very great - they range from no signs to being a bit cranky. But you can usually judge from the resction of a nearby boar (neutered or not)! They tend to get rather excited.

maybe thats why my boy was acting strange yesterday running aroudn pooing an dpeeing everywhere instead of in his litter tray?

Yes not many signs that she was coming into season though I had said to my folks that she may come into season and just to not panic sort of thing - turns out Rikki got very excited and was having "his way" with her rolleyes
