question about quiet homes

Hi everyone, I just brought home two baby sows! I’ve had piggies before but I’m wondering if because my house is so silent and empty wether i should play some background noise for them? So they don’t think a predatory is around? I just want them to be as happy and possible as we all do!Argh so excited to have piggies again! Poppins in the Pic

Congrats on your new babies!
I wouldn’t worry about playing background sounds for them. They will be fine with it being quiet. My boys live in a shed but when I first got them, the noises scared them, they were much happier when it was more quiet.

Great to know! I just wish I could tell them I’m here to love them not eat them! I’m so excited ) like a child again. Thanks for your input

My piggies have their own room upstairs. It’s very quiet and I think they like it like that

Mine also have their own room upstairs, and I live on my own so there's not much noise. Perhaps they are a tad more skittish than guinea pigs who live in and are used to busy, noisy homes, but not by much. So long as you announce your presence to them and don't creep up on them then they'll get used to you soon enough.

This is good to know. i guess they get used to whatever is normal. Better than a house of chaos !
