how long do you need to keep a new piggie away from a current pig or group

ATLEAST 2 weeks. (but some people advise more, so i am sure they will come along and explain why :D )

wow thats a long time i heard it was one week and that seemed okay but two wow so long lol

Well, alot of illnesses can take two weeks before you see symptoms, and you have to look at it as if you put them with your piggies to early, you would need to take ALL your piggies to the vets, not just the new piggy :)

And also, the new piggy can use those two weeks to get comfy in their new home, settle down and get to know you before they have all the stress of trying to make friends! :)

okay that makes sense heh, * australia if so yay more australians

No, I'm not australian, I am english I'm just up very late! :)) :x

But its ok, because i do shift work, so i work at odd times during the day. :) then i have to study, so i try to time it so that i am up when the house is either empty of quiet. :)

there isnt much auzzies on here, but the australia sites are as talkertive like this is like a huge piggie family lol
