Decided to look at getting a piggy friend for spiker, he is very down in the dumps at present, and wheeks when he hears something beep. looking at adoption/ rescue. though can't find a rescue centre near me, and what i have found near me are all male. spiker is neutured so was looking for female. I am right in thinking if i got a boy, they probably wouldn't get a long?

If you take him boar dating he will be able to choose his own friend.
I would contact a local rescue and see if they offer this service. its a really good way to get a friend for your piggy.

Spike would probably get on with a young boar, there's usually some piggies available for boar-dating at rescues. Try The Potteries Guinea Pig rescue for both sows and boars. I see at the moment they have three bonded sows ( they are adorable! x) ) - if you think you could manage 4 piggies they may get on really well. Get in touch with Helen for a chat. She's a lovely lady and will give you some advice.
