Junior Guinea Pig
I have booked to take Harold to the vets tonight, and I feel the vets are overlooking his symptoms and I am starting to question their ability to help our guineas.
I have trusted this vets but they haven't managed to help / save any of the pigs I have taken to them. I feel Harold has developed a heart condition, he's become less active and his breathing is very laboured. His pulse isn't fast just he's having to do more work. He's had an on off snotty nose since Bruno became unwell and is on his second batch of antibiotics.
Our vets have said they are not exotic experts and have limited capabilities. Am I wrong to go in and say I think it's a heart complaint? Should I be looking for another vet? I have moved vets twice as two surgeries close by were shockingly bad and I want to trust my vet but I don't as they haven't helped anything we have gone with! I know some illnesses have limits but I don't feel like we have ever had a good try. Is is wrong of me to be self diagnosing?

My head is battered with it at the moment, with Bruno passing after being so ill, Maurice arriving and having a op that became a mess and now Harold all since November and all on one pay day at Xmas! Why do we do it to ourselves?
