I have two female guinea pigs who have been living together for about a month now. I have an adult guinea pig and another who is not much older but smaller compared to my adult guinea. when I first put my guinea pigs together they did their own thing, recently my adult guinea has started showing light dominance usually nothing more than a low purr and following the younger one around for a few seconds the adult also tried to get on the younger one but she didn't show any teeth The younger guinea pig usually doesn't purr back if the adult starts to she does make a small squeak and isn't too much bothered by the adult guinea, both guineas have plenty of room to have their own space as well as their own hideouts when I feed the guineas they don't have a problem about eating around each other. . I was wondering if I should be worried about them fighting and separate them because i was told by a friend to be worried cause they are both females but i needed a second opinion. Thanks

It sounds like normal piggy behaviour to me. You would know almost immediately when you first put them together if they didn't like each other. As they have been living together for almost a month I wouldn't separate them. You only need to separate piggies if blood is drawn. Here are our bonding threads for you to have a read of to settle your mind.

I agree with the above. It all sounds very normal I don't think there are any issues from the sounds of it. My pigs (two sows) live happily together but that doesn't mean they don't get on each others nerves from time to time!
