Hi all,
I have room to rescue one or two piggies in the future but first doing some research. I currently have 2 sows who are in a large C&C which measures 5ft x 2ft. If I were to rescue then would the new piggies be able to go in with my current 2 or would they have to be in a separate cage? I know boars would need to be neutured but if I got 2 for example then would 2 be able to go in with the sows or should there only be one boar incase of fighting?
Sorry for questions, I just want to know my stuff before I consider rescuing ;)

Yep its 1 neutered boar per herd because of the fighting and dominance. Its like lions one male to a pack of females. :)

I would seperate any rescue pigs from your own as they may be unwell, or have lice or mites. If they are females then after 3/4 weeks they could all have a play together. :)

Lovely, thank you. I have another cage which I use for piggies when we are away for a weekend as I cant take C&C so I would be able to use that to keep them separate for a wee while. So I can either rescue 2 sows and eventually they can all go in together or one neutered boar then. Thats fab, thanks for advice :(|)
