As some of you know I have had to get some vetbed from Patsys poorly feet. How do I wash it? Can it be washed at 60 degrees? Can I tumble dry it?

A normal washing machine cycle is fine, it can be washed hot occasionally (not recommended to be done regularly but it can’t be tumble dried. I always found it dried very quickly on a radiator.

I use it too and do wash at 60 and vinegar in the little slot in the middle😊

My radiators are really old and close to the wall so I can put anything on them. Looks like they'll have to dry upstairs over the banister rail. Thanks @Piggies&buns.

Thanks I'll wash it like I do the fleeces then. I don't put those in the tumble dryer either.

They are super quick to dry so they won't be hanging around for long!

Washing at 60 is fine. I just use non bio powder with it. And like the others say,I find it dries very quickly. I used to dry mine on a rail in the garage and even in the winter it didn’t take long to dry. No wonder vets love it.

I have always tumble dried mine in winter, it dries really fast anyway. the secret to vet bed is having something for pee to wick to under the vetbed, newspaper or puppy pads etc
Hope little Patsy is enjoying it x

All three love the new shag pile carpet! I have put the vetbed on top of the fleece (clean) that is always in the hutch and the fleece is on top of washable puppy pads. This morning when I shook the soiled bedding and poops into the black sack, the top of the vet bed was lovely and dry and the bottom was slightly damp. I'll change it tomorrow morning.

It’s good stuff isn’t it, I wish I had some of it in my bed, not that I’m peeing in there it’s just so comfy 😆

I’ve been told vetbed isn’t suitable for outdoor hutch in winter as will wick moisture from the air. Is this right? I’ve just ordered a big roll!

Yes thats right. Vet bed and fleece shouldn’t be used in outdoor hutches over the winter months as it wicks moisture from the air and doesn’t completely dry so your piggies will essentially be sat on wet bedding
