Questions about Vetbed

After reading a "bedding" post on here I decided to get some vetbed for my girlies as I kept reading how bad shavings are for their health but now I have read quite a few bad things about vetbed so I have a couple of questions:

1) What's the best thing to put under the Vetbed?
2) How often do you need to change it?

And any other tips/advice about it!

Try having a look on here, I dont use vetbed so cant comment, I use fleece and could recommend that.

I've used vetbed in the past.

I just used a thick layer of newspaper underneath, some people use newspaper and towels.

Cleaning depends on a number of factors really e.g. cage size, number of pigs, how much they wee/poo

I found that if i poo picked daily, I could go almost a week without changing it, but prefered to do it every 3 or 4 days.
