I know there a few threads on this but i need a few questions answered and quite quickly if possible guys (i need to get some tomorrow if possible or order online).

My OH has told me today his no longer buying me megazorb (because he cant afford it and he hates the mess). That means i'm in trouble since i dont have a job currently.
Well i've told him if his going to do that then his going to have to accept fleece (his always said no chance). His agreed (yay).

I need to know what kind of fleece i should buy (links to websites which sell them at a good price would be amazing)

How do i wash them?

How often i should wash them

Should i put anything else down with it (obviously hay will still be avaliable)

How many layers they will need (there indoor piggies)

and anything else i should know really.

Thanks guys x :)p

Hi! I have brought from this ebay person twice, and its always been here the next day.
I have indoor piggys, I put news papper under the fleece and change the news papper every day and sweep the boo of the flecce at the same time. I put a clean fleece in every other day. Hope this helps!

Sorry, I've no links to websites for the purchase of since I use redundant baby blankets and throws from IKEA but I can answer the rest.

I wash mine every 2nd or 3rd day, if buying new you should wash it a few times before use.

After a good brush and shake I put my blankets and towels into a duvet cover and just wash on a normal cycle with an extra rinse - Never use softener but any detergent is fine.

I line the cage with sheets of newspaper, then a towel followed by the fleece and place hay in trays and racks rather than directly on the fleece.

Sorry forgot! I put it in the washing machine and its dry the next day, well with in a few hrs really!
I do have a very good hay/food rack and this helps as I dont get loads of hay stuck in the fleece. I wouldnt use any thing eles and my OH too would moan about the mess but the fleece stuff is great! Plus lots of great colours to choice from!

thanks guys. Ive just checked out that link Mary and its soo expensive. Is that the normally amount i would have to pay? I have 4 x 4ft cages so i cant afford that. I'm going to have to so some maths lol

woops ignore that i was reading the sizes wrong. That stuff looks good. Ill some measuring and pricing up.
thanks

It cost me £11 each fleece and that fits my cage and its 120 cm. I had to cut it and I have 2 peices that fit great in the cage.
I thought that you must have read it wrong as I thought it was really cheap!
I work at a vets and we cant get it that cheap! It was £15 in total with delivery and they sell to the guide dogs for the blind as well!

I wouldnt used it myself. With pro fleece all the wee goes to the bottom and the top stays dry. Its fantastic stuff! We use it at work for the animals that have had an op, we also use it for animals that are staying with us and if they are incontant (sorry cant spell) they dont get wet. They dont lose their shape, even my dogs have 3!
