Our boar Bingley was only neutered 2 weeks ago, so can't be with Valentina yet. We have them in cages next to each other and they have definitely started interacting (thank goodness).

We also have them out for parallel lap time and the dominance stuff is starting. There is the odd rumble and nose off and Valentina keeps frantically trying to groom his ears.

Bingley has just started putting his nose under her chin and pushing her chin up - is that him trying to be dominant?

Thanks

That is him trying it on a bit. Valentina is welcoming his presence in the group that she is leading (ear grooming). You have to see how it pans out during bonding.

Thank you - that it what I was guessing.

It's probably better to have them each side of the grid, becaue they only bond when they are together. Unless they are fighting & drawing blood,I would leave them to get together to meet & greet once the Boar is safe. Your part of the way because they have accepted each other. You're teasing him keep putting him in & out of the cage. But some may have difficent views.
