quick update on my furries

I have been away for about 3 months playing Aussie tour guide to a Canadian visitor and then going on holiday to New Zealand myself. I am so saddened by how many lovely piggies have gone over the bridge in such a short time. My condolences to all who have suffered this loss.

The piggy boys, Peanut Butter and Hazelnut, have been busy training our new girl Oreo into settling in to the family. I think they have done a good job as these photos show.



Oreo seems to like chookie legs as much as the piggles

Finally caught the boys eating together. Both their heads deep into their hay troughs. In the last pic, Hazelnut seems unaware he has got a strand of hay on his face.

Have added some photos of Oreo in the Other Pets section. For this waterlogged Brisbanite (nothing but rain all autumn), sunny New Zealand was a welcome relief (they are in drought).

We are all wondering if she is trying to imitate the piggies or if this pose comes natural to her. I've had 4 previous dogs and dogsit my son' s dog as well and never seen any of them lay like this.

Oh wow, so it can be natural! I'm trying to get a photo of Oreo and the 2 piggles all together with chookie legs. It is one of the pig boys, Peanut Butter, who refuses to co-operate. By the time I've got the camera ready he has pulled his legs in.
