Dic a Dom

My OH and I are currently studying the R.H.A course and we had our first tutorial with Vedra yesterday.
The thing is I honestly think that we are in over our heads!
I told Vedra that we have no veterinary background and she said that wasn't a problem at all.
Can anyone who has completed the course give us some tips or advice?

many thanks,

Sera

Hi Sera,

What is the course I've not heard of it?

Hi Louise,
you back from Norfolk? Hoping everything is ok.

It's a B.A.R Rodentology Health Course which highlights all the common health issues rodents have and how to treat these issues.

It contains a coursework folder and a residential visit to the CCT. After the visit we will have to complete some case papers and then, if we pass, we can excel to the rodentologist course.

Oh sounds good do you have to go to Cambridge for that?

Nope I'm still in the wilds...lol Have my laptop though, be nothing to do otherwise! Tika has been playing with Peter's friends tortoise today! We had a lazy day as Peter's dad came home. :) Knackered though, it's a different kind of air down here it knocks me out...lol

ooh I'd love to do that course...at some point...! Let us know how it goes. :)

I have been wondering for some time about this course, but have no vet. background either... :-\

What exactly is it that you find difficult? Do they use too many medical terms which could be confusing, or is it more along the lines of assuming you know already that this body part will be affected by this that and the other under those circumstances.. etc.?

Yeah I'm finding the termonology quite hard as most of it is in "vet speak".

maybe you could get a book which explains vet terminology?

I need to invest in a vet book that includes all the medicines available.

Yep Louise, we have to go down to Cambridge in October with our own 4 guineas and hold a clinic on one of the three days we are there.
