It is with sadness that I have to inform you that Bart has passed away. It was sudden with no warning, Yesterday he was first to the food bowl as usual. The same last night when I put dried food in the hutch for him and Rebel. Before I put the quilt over the hutch to settle them down for the night, I gave them all their night night cuddle. Bart snuggled under my chin as he does every night before I cover them over. I was on early shift today so the wife done the feeding routine, as she uncovered the hutch, Rebel was wheeking to be fed as normal and she thought she heard Bart too. It was only when she lifted the covers, she saw Bart lying on his side in the day compartment, "being his usual lazy self" as she thought. She expected him to dive into the food bowl as normal, but he was cold. He had gone during the night. He leaves a big hole in our family as we have never had a piggie that loved being held and cuddled like Bart did. He didn't have an easy start to life, we rescued him and his late sister Bella from a filthy hutch, they were roughly 3 or there abouts. We had him over 2 and a half years and he was spoilt rotten. Popcorn free at the bridge my gorgeous little man, reunited with your sister Bella and your friend Stanley. Sleep tight my cuddly teddy bear, I will miss you.
