Rest In Peace my darling Charcoal.
You were four and a half (ish) and the first guinea pig I had ever had, in fact you started the whole love of piggies off.
I am so glad that I fussed enough to stop at that crappy pet shop that day and so glad that I found you, we were just destined to be together.
You gave me four wonderful years of companionship and love and I will never forget that.
I know that you know that we HAD to send you on your way to the bridge, you were already half there, we just needed to help you out.
You never forgot Harley after she died two years ago, now you are running free with her over the rainbow bridge and whilst my heart is breaking because youre gone, my heart is at peace knowing that there is no more pain for you and that you are at peace.
I will see you again one day my love.
You are forever in our hearts (me, daddy and your cagemate Gin) and we will never forget you.
We love you darling.

This is Charcoal's mate, Gin, who is now going to need a new friend, she became very protective of him the last few days...

Charcoal was always my special boy.
He had a number of friends in his years, mainly when a new piggy came along and needed an understanding friend to settle them in, which Charcoal always did with open paws.
I finally decided to let him stay with just one piggy and that is where Gin came into it.
They had an interesting relationship, very much like your average long term marriage, but they were always happy.
Anyway, she has a teddy to snuggle for now but you can see that she is missing him, we all are.
