R.I.P Gizmo 30/8/99-14/2/13

i have now got the time to update that we had to have our beloved cat gizmo pts on the 14th feb, yes valentines day so i made sure we had our valentines day the next day so the kids wouldnt associate this day with sadness for the future
i had gizo 13 years and all 3 of my kids had grown up with her
we took her to the vets as she was being sick twice a day for a couple weeks, we first put it down to our neighbour who kept giving her food which made her ill even though we told her not to
anyway the vet done loads of tests on her and discovered a tumour in her stomuch plus her kidneys were failing so there was only one option for her
so we all went up there later to say goodbye
 
Sorry for the loss of beautiful Gizmo. Hope you are ok. *massive hugs*

I am very sorry that you lost your beautiful girl! You must still miss her very much!
 
It was and still is very hard for all of us, she was 13 so had a good life with us, she moved in with us as was a stray, she was my first pet of my own and was the only animal in the house when I met my partner 6 and half years ago, gizmo was a funny cat almost human she seemed to understand what we said to her,always purred even at the end she was purring away, the kids gave her ham and cheese , she was so pleased to see us,
then went out while she had the injection and came back in once she had gone to say final goodbye, we have had her cremated so she's now on the shelf in our front room
 
Oh really sad to read this about your beloved cat as 13 years is such a long time to share your life with any animal. We have a cat who I have had 16 years and we absolutely adore her and I cannot even think about how I will feel when her time comes. I'm sure you have lots of lovely piccys and memories to remember her by x

So sorry about beautiful Gizmo :(

Hope you & your family are ok. Cats really leave a gap when they're not there any more. We made the same decision for our old cat Ziggy at about the same age 3 years ago & it was a tough time for us all.
