My little boy did not make it when I took him for his neutering operation at the vets. It is my fault he is gone! If I didn't decide to neuter him, he would still be here. I am so angry at myself! Play well at the rainbow bridge and make sure to play in the field of hay.

I am so sorry for your loss, but try to be kind to yourself about it.
None of us know what the future holds, and if you make your decisions with the best interests of your animals at heart, then you are doing your best.
He looks like a very beautiful piggie and he knows that he was loved.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please do not blame yourself, you could not have known what would happen. You made a decision with his best interests at heart.

I lost a piggy the other week in a very similar circumstance through something I chose to do - so I know how you are feeling. Please focus on the love you gave him. He was loved and had a great life with you remember that. Massive hugs x

Sleep well little one

RIP Johno

Aww don't blame yourself, I don't know what the statistics are but I would have said it's pretty unusual for them to die threw a neutering operation. You did it so Johno could have a better life with the ladeez. Be kind to yourself CavySlave23, he certainly wouldn't want to blame you.
Hug Hugs coming your way.
Sleep tight little Johno.

Oh no no no no no! It is not something you should be blaming yourself for not at all!
Massive hugs. I think it's very natural for us to say "if only I had not made 'this' choice then things would have worked out better" but the very vast majority of guinea pigs who are neutered come out of it just fine. Who could have known? Not you and not even the vet could have predicted it.

You took the decision with his best interests at heart, what more could any of us do?

I am so so sorry to read this, @CavySlave23 . It is not your fault, seriously it isn't. Please don't let the guilt creep in, no-one else would see you as guilty, I hope you can see it's true.

Be free at the Bridge Johno xx

So sorry for your loss. Don't blame yourself. Unfortunately in operations for humans and animals nothing can be guaranteed. RIP little Johno you were lucky enough to have a loving owner who wanted nothing but the best for you

I'm so so sorry for your loss. I can only repeat what they have all said above- please don't blame yourself or ponder the 'what ifs?'. You wanted what was best for him and that was clear. Sadly in operations with small animals nothing can be confirmed and sometimes things can change drastically. It seems that this time it was your poor little guy that didn't make it but at least he died knowing he was loved and without pain. Don't beat yourself up- you were the best guinea pig parent you could be! Popcorn free little guy!

I'm so sorry gorgeous Johno has gone to the bridge. Absolutely not your fault, I know it's hard not to blame yourself but you did the best you could for him. Those if's and but's always creep in at times like this but please try to ignore them and be kind to yourself.

I'm so sorry that you have lost Johno. Please don't blame yourself. You could not see into the future and nor could the vet. You had his very best interests at heart - he had a lovely life planned with wives. The only way he could do that was if he was neutered, so this was a necessary step. Sadly he didn't make it, but you have nothing to reproach yourself for. Huge hugs. Popcorn free Johno..
