yeasterday at approx 8pm we had a massive shock, my brandy gave birth to two lovely baby guinea pigs. both totally gorgeous. after 25 minutes we noticed she wasnt taking care of the one baby. by this time she had trampled it into the ground. i took it out and itr was still wet and hardly breathing. after drying it off and letting it have a bit of rest i tried to put it back next to mom, she totally freaked out, so i decided to remove the baby for its safety.
i tried my hardest to save him but nothing helped. unfortunately he went on to pass away at 12.15 last night.

it was a pleasure to have this darling guinea pig for the 4 hours we did.

R.I.P little berty (looked like an allsorts sweety!)

RIP little bertie you were obviously destined to live at rainbow bridge have fun munching and popcorning
 
It is so gutting to lose a baby that just has made it all the way into life, only to leave it again. You have tried your very best against the odds.

This was sadly not sweet little Bertie's time!

How heartbreaking, I am so sorry for your loss. He looked simply gorgeous and I know he will have felt the love he was surrounded with in his few hours of life. Big hugs to you.

I just read about the 4 hours you had with him. Well done to you for trying to keep him alive. It sounds like if mum knew that there was something wrong.

So very sorry for your loss.
At least he had 4 hours of love and that is something you and little berty will share and treasure forever.

So sorry to hear you lost little Berty - such a gorgeous mini pig. Although his life was short it was clearly filled with love.
