Princess my baby girl hamster who was 2 years old died peacefully in her bed last night. About 3 months ago I noticed a lump near her rear end. Because of her age I decided not to put her through an op (if indeed a vet could do that) I knew instinctively it was a tumour. For the last three months we have had so much fun, she was oblivious to the lump, it didn't hinder her in any way, it obviously didn't hurt because she continued to let me hold and kiss her belly etc etc. Last night though I went to give her a treat in her but she wouldn't take it, I instinctively knew something was wrong then. She couldn't really walk, although she did try. I found her this morning in her bed. I gave her a kiss and a cuddle this morning to say goodbye. Every night I would tell her that mummy loved her so much.

I will miss you so much Princess, we had so much fun. I hope you enjoy your life over the rainbow bridge and I will see you again some day darling.

God bless sweetheart.

Joy xx

Aww I'm so sorry to hear that :( My hamster Chip died last year at the grand old age of four. When he was at his last days he looked really old like losing some hair and not walking around so much. Thinking of you.

Sorry to hear about Princess 8... but I am also glad she brought a little light into your world and heart :)

So sorry for your loss, RIP Princess. xx
