Hi iwas wondring if i could give my guinea pigs rabbit dry food as i dont have any guinea pig dri food at the moment and i would like them still to have some dri food everyday can i plz tell me because i dont think i *** be able to fetch them some from the shop for a thew days as I'm very busy x

I wouldn't rabbits and guinea pigs needs are different plus guinea pigs tums can be sensitive. Guinea pig food contains vit c rabbits is vitamin d. Its not worth the risk. They can do without for a couple of days as long as you are giving plenty of veg high in vitamin c and unlimited hay. :)

oh i dont give them hay everyday only once a throngiht and thats only a lil bit

You really must let your Guinea pigs have access to hay all day long, the same with your rabbit they both require unlimited hay. 80% of their daily diet must be hay in order to keep them healthy. Plus their teeth constantly grow so they need to be chewing on hay to keep their teeth down. If you restrict their hay you will be in for all sorts of problems.

As for Rabbit food it is not suitable for Guinea pigs as Louise mentioned in her post.

Above in this section you will find a Guinea pig shopping list this details all your guinea pig food needs.

Yep hay is 80% of the diet
Veg (pref green veg) 15%
and dried just 5%

So if they miss the dried its not too bad. They need to keep topped up on vit c as like us they can get scurvy if suffering with a deficincy from it. :)
