I'm so annoyed ok, yes part of it is my fault but STILL!

I ran out of Guinea Pig food and I have ordered it online but didn't I miss the courier on Friday. They said they will redeliver Monday which shall be good as no ones in then either. Guinea Pigs still have no pellets but have plenty of hay and veg.

Well my Dad decided in his wisdom I was starving them by not giving them pellets :x. He gave them Wagg Guinea Pig Crunch when I was out last night! 8.... I'm so annoyed! They've never had Wagg Museli in there life!

i can see why you're annoyed. it's nice to see that your dad cares about them though, and he obviously thought he was doing right. he shouldn't have done it while you were out, as he should've asked you first, but i still think maybe that deserves forgiveness :)

however, i can agree with being annoyed about the delivery :( i hate missing deliveries, and when it's something as important as pet food...

i'm sure the guinea will be fine though, as i doubt you're starving them. they'll just be a little bit veggie overloaded :)):)) are there no pet shops near you that sell the pellets you need? just to get a bag to tide you over for a few days?

good luck sorting the whole mess out

OOH Naughty dad. I can see why you are cross.

No consolation but he obviously cares about them to worry they are starving.

How do they seem? Did they like it?

Hey, take a deep breath and climb down!

Your dad is a very caring man and even if he didn't get you your favourite pellets, a bit of muesli won't hurt your piggies over the weekend! rolleyes

Well I suppose maybe I should see it that way, we got some pellets today. Milo was at the vet so went into the Pet Shop and got some excel Pellets! I was more worried about them getting sore tums as they have never had it before.

I guess it was nice of my dad to feed them, even if it was museli! rolleyes

I hate running out of food! I ran out of food recently and the delivery was late, and they had to eat loads of veggies and grass, which they didn't mind at all. :) But they were really hungry and kept squeaking at me, it shows how much the pellets must fill them up, cos they were eating loads of veggies and still not satisfied!

I found that muesli doesn't upset their tummies when it was the only thing I could get hold of in a pinch!

And yes, they love their dry food - I get some VERY poignant reminders if I'm running late... rolleyes

Oh dear. It was nice of your dad to try and help. He must really love your piggies after all. ^) At least you have some pellets now. Hope you can sort your delivery out. x

i hate running out of their food but it does happen to us all.i think your piggies were probably showing their disgust and your dad being the good piggie slave they are training him to be obeyed their commanding wheeks and fed them the best he could find.

I think your dad sounds like someone who loves your piggies :)

I can understand you are annoyed at him feeding them the wrong food, but I would try not to show it too much. He really was trying to help!

my guinea pigs won't eat pellets- the pellets were left in the bowl wwhen i intergrated them into their current food- when i did the full switch they just squeked all the time and had a couple of nibbles, so they eat muesli full time.
x

As a mum, I'd say well done Dad for being so kind and thoughtful. The thought of hungry piggies obviously upset him. Poor old Dad !

Ahh, dad was only trying to help... bless him...can I just ask whats wrong with the muesli? Mine are on it at the moment..

Some pigs selective feed, and mine have always had pellets was worried about an upset tum as they aren't use to it!
