I was just wondering what you lot do when there is long spells of rain and letting your piggies have run about time! I have had my guineas a week now and have not yet been able to let them out for grass time because its wet :( any suggestions?

I sadly don't have a garden so my girls have an indoor run for floor time. Recently i've just been putting a large fleece blanket on the floor and i sit with them and they just run about. They rarely try to leave the fleece because i have wooden flooring and i don't think they like it much! I got my run from ebay :)

awwwwwwww yeah it's not much fun eh (oh i'm in OZ aka Australia) but know what you are talking about!
Try having some fun time on the floor you could put some blankies or towels down and give them some boxes to play in......and of course the odd treat or two drool

i'm sure some of the UK members will give you more hints!
Good luck i hope the rain eases soon for you :)

i don't have grass either, i have a patio and gravel which i don't think is too nice plus there are loads of bloody cats in my neighbourhood so I have an indoor playpen. I put a blanket on my carpet in my living room so the carpet doesnt get soiled and put them in that to stretch their legs. You can get them on ebay, amazon etc or use corex squares. Or make one out of wooden frames and wire mesh, the options are only limited by your imagination so get creative! :))

Same as others, we have an indoor run, my girls have permenant access to a run as it's part of their hutch and i put some straw down if it's REALLY wet (which it was as they were at the bottom of a hill and it has got boggy) but we moved them slightly up earlier where it's dryer.
