So yesterday I adapted my little outdoor run with a small pet enclosure to make a bigger run/enclosure space for the piggies. (see pic) They loved it!

Plan on buying another of these enclosures so I can join together and make an even bigger outdoor space for them too. My children are going to LOVE me taking up a good chunk of the garden :D

Now it's raining today... and I'm so annoyed for them lol

I'm assuming piggies don't like being outside running around in the rain?!10374449_10152296644987762_8754965124878352318_n.webp

Guinea pigs are very prone to picking up respiratory infections due to been so close to the ground, so damp grass is really not very good, always best to wait until it is warm enough to dry the grass. On damp days indoor play is best :)

I thought that :/ I'm in and out all day so can't give them the floor time I'd like until I'm home later on. I like them being able to run around and get lots of exercise. Suppose one day cooped up (so to speak!) won't hurt

What a good idea it's given them loads more space. Do you have any netting to put over the top just in case any passing buzzard or cat spies them?

I have been putting fleece blankets over the top to shade them from the afternoon sun. But I do need to get a net. My back garden is really fenced in except on one side that you can see in the photo. But their side is totally fenced in too, so it's almost like a huge garden with a small fence down the middle if that makes sense? They have a big Alsation dog who protects them :D But need to sort a net yes, for the predators from above!
