Raisins?

is it safe to give raisins currants and sultanas to piggies? Also Grapes? I know dogs shouldn't have either as they cause kidney faliure. My go mad for them I only give a couple occasionally but if they are bad for dogs surely they're bad for piggies too

Raisons,currants and sultanas have too high a sugar content so should not be fed.there is also the danger of the dried fruits becoming stuck on the teeth.


Grapes are fine,but not too many at a time.

Mine get grapes once in a while. Dogs can have the occasional grape or raisin they are only poisonous if fed in large quantities.

Oh dear! :-\ I've been giving mine a couple of raisins each day as a treat, but now I've read this I think I shall stop & try a grape instead!

I give mine grapes occasionally, the boys like them!
