The piggies cage has a space on the top the their house. , I put a ramp up ( it is approx 6" from the base of the cage to the top of the house) in the hope they would use it as an extra play area but they haven't used the ramp so I am wondering if I need to put some anti slip stuff on the ramp.

Ramps often take a while to get used to but once they do get used to if you’ll find them zooming up and down it.

Ramps need to be quite a shallow slope (so long ramp to reduce steepness), not be slippery smooth (so some form of grip or material covering it), have sides if it’s a high one, and last but not least...plop a few veggies along it to entice them to explore.

I have ramp in my cage as it’s two tier.

I have placed a wooden block at the bottom therefore making it less steep, lined the ramp with carpet and added a ramp tunnel. My piggies love running up and down it and they are perfectly safe :)
