Hi
I need to put some guardrails on my wooden ramp for my little gpigs. Is pine skirting ok to use or hardwood?

Hello welcome to the forum!

Will have a search on forum for you what people use, I don't think pine is safe for piggies @Tim

I tried carpet glued to the bottom but it kept peeling off when they peed. I now have the plastic beading from around replacement windows cut to size and attached to the bottom using heavy duty double sided auto panel tape. It gives a ladder effect so they have grip. ;)

I used hardboard cut to size. The water stains on the bannisters are due to using a hosepipe to clean the ramps 4 or 5 times over the last couple of years. They have held up very well. As you can see, I haven't done this mornings poo patrol yet to the disgust of Billy and Little Chickchick.

I used guttering when my boys had a ramp, and stuck carpet tile to it using carpet tape. It worked well and never peeled off.
