I am just doing the ramps for the C&C cage for a second level but i having problem bending the screwfix grids - anyone give me any advice?!?!

Also, on everyones C&C cage, do you have a support for the other level?

Anyone has any piccies of there cages, i would LOVE to see these because then i can get some more idea!

please help!:):):):)

My OH bent my grids but someone else on here bent them round a door!

I only have a very large top level cage which sits on 1" thick MDF but others use more grids and a grid on its end underneath to support upper level I think!

I tried standing on them and bending them that way but the best way I found was round my kitchen table as long as it's very sturdy. Must admit I used some B&Q grids for my rams rather than my screwfx ones. I didn't use any additional support for my cage and upper levels apart from the connectors the grids come with and cable ties. I cable tied every single join and it's really sturdy.

Here are my cages

gus and jack, i lik eyour cage, i might raise mine like you have!

i tried to bend my scewfix ramps both ways like you but was an impossible task so bent them one way.

how did you attach it to the cage, and how did you attach a lining on the ramp as it may slide off?!

if anyone else has any piccies, i would be really grateful to receive them!

It's really handy raising it because I store all their stuff underneath it. Their carry cages, hay, spare bedding, newspapers , everything really, all goes underneath out of the way.

The ramp lining is actually a cheap doormat from wilkinsons or somewhere, cut into strips to fit the ramp and then superglued down. I attached the ramps to the top level with ladders. Sounds strange but I went looking for ladders in pet shops, you can get wooden ones for parrots but I found some metal ones which are much better, the wooden one snapped after a while. I bought the metal ladders and cable tied one to the back of each ramp so that just the hooks at the top stuck out so that I can take the ramp out easily. It just hooks onto the uppe level.

thanks for that! i shall see if i have enough grids to raise it!

In the first pic, it looks like piggie bunk beds :)) Cute!

Looks very sturdy :)

it does doesnt it! it looks fantastic!

i wish others would post theirs on heres too!

Here are some pictures of my cage.

My hubby put a piece of wood through the grids underneath the top level for extra support. The ramp is attached with cable ties. We've put lino on the ramp and then fleece on top. At the moment the fleece is attached with cable ties too but I need to put some bottons on it to hold it in place as I can then easily remove it.

Only one of my six sows doesn't use the top floor which is a bit surprising as she's the boss. It's not the biggest extension but I've seen 4 of my girls up there at the same time! :{
