I'm so stupid and forgot to buy a new bag of Harringtons for the girls today and have none left at all for them. They didn't have as many pellets as they usually have yesterday and I won't be able to get any more pellets till Monday will they be okay with extra hay? Oh yes I've got some science selective guinea pigs pellets they could have but they haven't had them before should I give them some of those? Thanks

i would say they would be fine, although maybe not best pleased with you! :)) but in terms of health etc they will be ok. you could feed a small amount of the new pellets if you wanted to, but it isn't necessary :)

thank you! i'll give them a small handful of the new stuff and see if they like (they didn't like burgess) but you're right they're not going to be too pleased with me when they find out. rolleyes

Probably a good time to try the new pellets. If they don't have a choice they're more likely to try them. Don't worry if they don't because pellets are only a very small proportion of their diet.

Haha this sounds just like me! I too have just run out of harrington's, ordered a 10kg sack today from vetuk so hoping it'll be here by the weekend, they've had extra veggies, grass and hay so I'm not stressing too much! Just give them extra greens, dandelion leaves and Timothy hay if you have any. I have read on here of some people cutting down on the pellets in summer as grass is readily available and just feeding pigs their grass, veg and hay x
