I usually wash the guinea pigs fleece liners on fast wash, 60 degrees using Halo and white vinegar. After reading my washing machine manual (for a different reason) I decided to try the baby clothes setting instead. It took longer, but the liners came out so much softer and fluffier! I'm amazed what a difference a wash cycle can make.
It's my furbabies 2nd birthday tomorrow, so they can have an extra soft fleece when I clean them out lol

Ooooo good tip! I don't have fleece liners as mine are outside piggies but I do have fleece hideys for them so I'll try these on the baby care setting next time I wash them. I've looked everywhere for halo and couldn't find it so I just use non-bio now.

I use Napisan cheapest in Wilkinsons at the moment by at least 60p
Napisan Non Biological Stain Remover 800g

for my white washing & the animals towels etc, it brightens the whites, removes most stains & its a germicidal washing powder originally for terry towelling nappies, so helps to kill germs &deodorises too. x

i use napisan as well, sometimes Halo sport that i found in sainsburys ,it can also be found on halo website, sometimes i use dettol laundry discifectant.i have started using fleece liners in the hutches now weather is warmer ! save producing so much waste !

I get my Halo online from their website. I actual got a black Friday deal last year of 6 bottles! A bottle lasts about 8 months, so it'll keep me going for a while.
I also got my white vinegar online. I thought I was buying one 5 litre bottle, and 5 turned up lol. So I won't be buying that for a while either.
