So Ive put my name down in 3 sanctuarys waiting for a friend for Raoul, as I was worried about him being lonely after Peter died last weekend, but he seems fine. He is eating and having lots of fuss and chats and seems his normal self. Its got me wondering if he would like a pal or if hes happy on his own. If only he could tell me.

He would most definitely like a pal. Not all piggies go into acute grieving and lose the will to live however you will definitely see a huge difference in him when he does have a pal. I had similar when Daisy was left on her own. She absolutely craved our attention from the second we got home from work and its obvious that was because she was desperately lonely. She is so much happier with friends of her own species now

:agr: I think he'd be happier with a friend too. After my boar Squeaks lost his companion, he was fine, but I think he got bored on his own eventually because he seemed to spend most of his time sitting on his hidey looking out. Now he has new friends he is moving around much more. At least though as Raoul isn't pining, you don't have to rush into finding a new friend, and can wait for the right one to be available.

Piggies are herd animals and not wired to live on their own. He'll be a lot happier with a friend.:)
