In the past 2 days my Guinea Pig has started doing more and more teeth chutters. This used to be common but then stopped for months until now. However how she chutters now is completely different to how she used to. Now she bites slowely for a second or two and then does this really quiet but very fast chuttering. I don't understand what she is doing, I've never seen it before can anybody help me?

Oh and I wanted to add that I haven't seen any signs of aggression from her or anger recently infact I have been spending more time with her and she seems really relaxed recently.

Hi!

Can you please check her teeth? Teeth chattering can also be a sign of pain in the mouth/face area. If the self-sharpening front teeth are crisp and even, then the crucial back teeth are generally fine. if the front teeth are jagged or slanted, then your piggy is not chewing evenly because of a pain issue. You need to see a vet promptly as teeth can overgrow quickly in the space of just a few days.
If the front teeth are pointing inward and are no longer meeting, then the premolars have grown spurs that prevent chewing and trap the tongue or are growing painfully into a cheek.

Otherwise there may be an issue of displeasure.
