Senior Guinea Pig
I need everyones good vibes because as we speak George and Tiger are together in their playpen!
I have tried to re-bond them today and we have had a few moments but no fighting as yet so fingers crossed. They have had a bath which they hated and cuddled up to each other the whole way though making it very difficult for me (I just kept thinking at least they are being nice to each other.)
They then sat in the washing basket together looking cross whilst I finished off the playpen and still no fighting / argueing. I have sterlised their bottles, hayrack and bowls. I have disinfected and sterlised the playpen and bought new wooden toys and treats so their was no sign of any scent anywhere.
They have had a rumble at each other and twice they were loud teeth chattering at each other but I just walked towards them and they knew they were being naughty and stopped.
I have now blitzed the cage and put new toys in there for later on. It has been a very expensive and very planned out day (think in total cost about £60). This is because I had wooden houses etc.. which would hold the scent so I had to buy new houses, mountain of veggies, treats galore and lots of things to keep them occupied including lots of new wooden chew toys (two of each of course). I have also bought new beds, fleeces etc.. just in case the smell stays after the wash.
Please wish me luck as this is probably my last chance with these two if this doesn't work I don't know what will!
