Senior Guinea Pig
I just have a quick question (sorry turned out to be a long question
)regarding re-bonding my two boys.
For those who don't know they fell out and have been living with a divider for a while now (maybe 3/4 weeks, I can't seem to keep track) & I have had a couple of failed attempts at bonding.
I was wondering whether they need to spend every waking minute together if I finally get them settled or whether they can be alone for vets trips / cuddles etc..
When they were living together previously if I had one out for a 10 min cuddle and then put them back in with the other one would start to rumble. Also even if I put one in playpen then went back for other straight away and put them in they would rumble a bit too!
I have a whole day of sterilising (obviously not the piggies themselves), bathing, new toys, new tunnels, new houses new fleeces, new sheeting etc.. planned for next weekend but any advice would be greatfully appreciated.
I was considering doing it this weekend but tiger has one more mite treatment left at vets and didn't want to split them up again (even for a couple of hours) if they did get on again! Would this be a problem?
Thanks in advance
