So.... I have ordered a gorgeous jumbo snuggle pouch from cavy couture which was delivered today and both coco and twiglet don't seem to understand what it's for. I just wondered how long was it before your piggys learnt to go in it and snuggle up and sleep

Pop them in it whilst they are on your knee and they will get use to the feel of it.
I did this initially with my girls and it seemed to work, however my girls like to sit on top of anything cosy rather than get inside.

Aw ok off to get parsley and will do that today when I have them out, thanks guys

the foster girls sleep on top of it when in the cage and inside during lap time. My two downstairs dont ever go inside but turn it round so the opening is a back rest!

Lol! So they might never get then hang of it then!

Every piggy is different 3 of my boys just sit on top of theirs, i make my own and even tried making a huge one and still the same. They prefer their hammock. The other 3 boys love the sacks, took them half a day to work it out, once one went in the others soon got it. Sometimes they lay inside with their heads poking out and sometimes they tuck their little paws in it and sit on top like a hen and sometimes they use it as a pillow :)) Parsley is a great idea to try and encourage them in, as is introducing at lap times. Leave it in the cage and you will more then likely find its been used when your not looking ;)

I'm going to get some parsley when I got shopping today and my friends daughter is coming for the weekend and she adores them so she can have plenty of lap time with them and we will use the snuggle.

I haven't got snuggle sacks, but my boys have a few cuddler beds (also made by Cavy Couture). I found that if I kept popping them in their bed (during lap time etc) and putting their bed on the floor when they were free-ranging that they began to get used to it being there and it started to smell like them (so it didn't seem so 'foreign'). I also used to sprinkle a few nuggets in there to encourage them to climb in.

Dougal doesn't go inside either, but loves to lounge on top. Hamish went straight in when I first got them, but maybe that's cos he's a skinny pig & has more of a need to be warm. :)

All of my piggies love their sacks when having lap time.. but when it's in their cages.. Not so keen! They use them then as little cushions.

Even my Troy who has a head tilt likes to have a snuggle sack when having his lap time :)

:)) sure they will get the hang of it soon, even if they just lay on top of it!

Well we did have to put veggies in the pouch but they really liked it and where eventually squealing and wriggling with delight
