Readigrass - Give Every Day ?

Hi.. just ordered some Readigrass from Amazon - not sure whether to give the pigs a sprinkling each day over the hay or more as treat each week?
 
l think it is a bit rich to feed every day . Personaly l feed mine a good hand full once a week

How many pigs have you got ? If more than 4 you may be better getting it from an equestrian center or horse feed shop, . A massive sack 12 k is around £9

I tend to give my girls a handful on top of their hay tray about 1-2 times per week. I was told it was high in sugar so you cannot give it everyday. However my girls absolutely love it and would happily eat it everyday :)
 
Defo will use as a treat then ! just thought i would try them with it as they must get bored with the same food !

Speaking of going mad for it. My 2 girls Flash and Daisy completely ignored their veg once they knew readigrass was in the hay tray tonight, it must be good!
 
My 7 weeks old piggies love the ready grass but are not into the hay!
I've bought 3 different types of hay including Timothy and one with chamomille! No luck!
What should I do ?!
 
I've just put readigrass in for Angus & Stan and they're not that bothered with it but maybe they'll like it more when they go on the lawn for the first time soon. I got a big bag at cost price as ordered it with pet food for work

Agreed with the above. Like all dried foods/grasses/herbs - readigrass is high in calcium. We tend to give it once a week or even less, mixing with dried dandelion ( especially in winter when fresh not always available).

Mine dont like it nor do my rabbits. Got a massive sack of it ... Anyone in hampshire want a large sack of readigrass just drop me a pm
 
They have been having a small amount on a Sunday.... the bag is quite big though and not sure how long it I will stay fresh..
 
I have had my bag for pretty much a year now and it is still fresh and they still go mad for it. I just made sure the top was folded down well so nothing can get in and it is a bit more air tight.
