My girl Talulah loves readigrass. I give the girls a small handfull a day.

Talulah will happily sit and eat the whole lot given the chance. She will then wheek as loud as she can when its gone to try to get me to refill it. I have not given in yet. She does eat hay too.

Can i give more? The girls have two lots of fresh veg, 50gms nuggets, small handfull of readigrass and unlimited hay everyday.

I only feed readigrass and graze on (similar to readigrass) once or twice a week as it is high in calcium so best only giving it as a treat a couple of times a week :)

Thank you oh dear poor Talulah will be upset. Will see if i can do every other day and replace it with something else the other day.

I Give mine more in the winter when you can't give them fresh grass. I know it's high in calcium but it's got lots of goodness in it too.

glad i nipped on, last winter i gave my piggies unlimited supplies of this stuff! thanks for the heads up

Regarding the supposed high calcium in Readi-Grass & similar would it not be the same with hay? Or is fresh grass high in calcium? 2 points to think about!

I did a quick google and there seems to be some really conflicting ideas about this...I wouldn't have thought it would be as it's just grass dried at a high temp? Found the nutritional values for it and it says it is 0.05%...with ratio of 2:1.

I have read that too why i'm wary and stick to twice a week and tend to feed it more in winter then summer. I understand because it is harvested earlier then hay it retains a lot of sugars but as would grass and in the wild piggies would graze daily. I googled it last year a lot of controversy over how safe it is to feed daily so i'm sticking to twice a week to be safe :)
