Readigrass

hi everyone

I was recommended on here to buy some readigrass to help gizmo gain weight.

I went to the farm shop today and they only sell it in 15kg bags!...so I now,have a huge sack in my shed lol.

My question is...can I give pigs readigrass everyday and how much should I offer? Thanks

Readigrass is quite rich, so we generally recommend to give it only in pinches as an occasional treat. I offer about 1-2 pinches to my frail piggies abut 1-2 daily that are struggling with their weight, provided that they haven't got urinary tract issues.

I mix some in with hay for my piggies, they have to look for it!

Is it too rich for babies? I was planning on giving some to my low weight mums, after 2 back to back pregnancies, but not if isn't not suitable for the babies.

My local pet supply's shop sells it by weight. See if you could get some like that. Try a pet supply shop or possibly equestrian shop.
