these are the only things my piggies will eat:
cucumber
romaine lettuce
sweetcorn
cabbage
brocilli
peppers
carrots
parsley
apples, but very rarely will they touch them.
I have tried so many other fruit and veg, but they just wont touch anything else...does anyone else have the problem of their piggies will only eat certain things? I have resulted in giving them carrots and pepper everyday and romaine lettuce nearly everyday. I know I can't give brocilli, cabbage and parsely everyday, but i am just a bit worried as i heard carrots everyday aren't good for them? They get hay and dry food, and i am waiting for some dried grass to be delivered, but I don't know if what I am giving them everyday is fine to give everyday or what, could someone please advise me if I am ok to do this.

thank you!

ohhh yess i do. My boys refuse carrots unless they are in the pen with the girls and they will eat them then. really strange. xx

My piggie's wont eat that many either drives me mad. They only eat lettuce obviously not iceburg, cabbage occassionally, parsley, mint, cucumber occassionally, celery leaves, they will eat pepers but only when in the mood.

Broccolli is a no no same as cauli and loads more ::)

ours are fussy, sometimes they will eat something then other times they won't. i think your eat loads O0

Glad to hear others have probs with fussy piggies...Mine only eat carrots with the leaves attached they nearly always refuse the pre washed carrots from tesco. They'll eat kale, banana & grapes but not much else apart from their body weight in grass ...which I cut fresh for them each morning & evening if its too damp for them to go into their run.

Every pig is different. Actually, you have a pretty good variety there. I have known pigs that would only eat 2 or 3 things. However, I find younger pigs often eat less variety, but will branch out to other foods if you keep introducing them. Helps to start by placing the new food down first and trying not to give any others until they try the new food.

Harry is ultra fussy, about the only thing I am guaranteed he will will eat everything of what is given is Kale

I've been into tesco this morning & kale is on offer for 58p a bag. Mine prefer the fresh stuff but will eat the tesco's stiff if there's nothing else.

think i might be giving a bit too much romaine lettuce, as their poos seems lightly wet! so i better cut down on that i think.

it rook my lilly and max (was a a molly at the time) a while to get use to eating veggies frist they would only eat leafy stuff, i jsut kept adding stuff and there evveanatlly liked it - my lilly eats most things now lvoes her food

max well he likes things one days and disnet like them the next

Mine are really fussy too! They'll pick at normal carrots when they get them but love baby carrots! 98) They also go through stages with fruit/veg - one week they like the next they don't. It can make it quite hard when I'm doing their fruit/veg shopping.

mine wont eat carrots.
once I gave my little cindy an carrot and she bit it and then turn away from it.

lol :D that is really weird.... perhaps bad experiences with carrots. once ringo had a nightmare and i'm guessing carrots were chasing her or something because the next day she wouldn't eat carrot.....it was funny.... :smitten: :smitten:

You have actually got a good variety there.
We don't like the same food over and over again but the piggies don't really mind.
They can also have fresh grass every day!
