Chunk, one of my pigs, has always been the fussier one of the two. But recently he has gone off pretty much all the veg I try and offer him! Peppers, lettuce, baby corn, cucumber, spinach, bistro salad. He will eat carrot quite happily at the minute but I’m sure that will change! He is eating hay well, has always loved his pellets and hasn’t dropped any weight so I’m not too worried on that side of things. Just fed up of picking wilted veg out of his cage! (Or giving it to Reg, the guinea pig dustbin!) anyone else have really fussy pigs?

Lola was very fussy to start with when I first got her but she has really improved and is almost eating everything I give now and wheeking for more. I think she is learning from Bindy who eats anything and everything I give. But I do need to change it up regularly because if I give the same thing for three days, after three days she wont eat it, but its good to change it up so they get different nutrients so I don't mind that. I think it is a result of how they were brought up perhaps and some pigs like Bindy were broughht up on a really good variety and others like lola were not. I have just kept persisting untill Lola improved but Bindy eats the leftovers anyway so nothing gets wasted in their cage whatsoever.

Ruby is our fussy pig and I have actually started feeding her veg on a plastic childs plate.
I pop it in the cage and 2 - 3 hours later take the plate with any uneaten veg out again.
She gets a reasonable selection and if she chooses not to eat it them I have to assume she isn't hungry.
