I'm almost kinda desperate right now, my 6 and a half year old sow its EXTREMELY larthgic, in her cage she lay laying crunched up kinda slightly rocking from side to side. she isnt normal at all. shes on my kness and wuld normall be talking and licking away but she silent..like a little log..when i picked her up she was no moving at all, didnt even kick her little pig out of anything.

Ive not had a guinea pig *die* yet but i have had other rodents and i recognise the signs.. can some1 please help?

I would suggest Get piggy to emergency vet - good luck xx

I know it's difficult on a Sunday evening, but your piggy needs to be seen by a vet. If you call your ordinary vet their answering machine should give you an emergency number to ring. If she were mine I would take her to the vet ASAP.
For the time being, make sure she's warm and comfortable, stroke her to reassure her.

Fingers crossed for her.

I had to have my boy put to sleep today, I think you should go to a vet ASAP Hun x

bfs on the phone, spoke to a vet, feeding her sugar water and keeping her warm. :(

taking her t emergency vets..waiting fir the taxi, gutted..crying so hard

Aww, hun :( Well done for acting quickly. Wishing you all the best! Good luck

Please try not to worry. She may be able to receive treatment and be back to her old self.

Thank you to everyone, they are keeping her in to handfeed her and see if she can pull thru. they have said tho that she is 6 1/2 so...8... going to bed cried out and have the worse stress headache ever!

Aww hun :(. She's in the best place. Fingers crossed she pulls through!

I'm so sorry for your loss. She lived a very good long life because you took such good care of her. If you feel up to it, you might want to post a tribute on the Rainbow Bridge section of the forum.

Once again I am so sorry for your loss and know how devastated you must be. We are all here for you.

RIP little piggy and popcorn free.

Aww, I've been thinking of you today, wishing her to get well. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be, but 6 and 1/2 is a good age. She must have had a good life with you. I'm so sorry for your loss :(

RIP little girl :rose Popcorn free at the bridge

I am so sorry for your loss. My Poppy was almost 7 when she passed last year & I know how heart breaking it is to lose them especially when they reach such a great age. I think I cried for a week solid :( Thankfully there are so many on here that understand as we all feel the same about our piggies.

Try to remember the good times & take lots of care of yourself in the coming days x

I really am so very sorry. I can see how she was your world and you loved her so much. If ever you want to talk them please pm me.

thank you again, I dont think ive stopped crying for the past day now!

We left her at the vets as we live in a flat with no burial space i.e a garden, but i think i want to get her cremated and put into a little urn. We live in east london, any suggestions?

thank you again
x

that sounds lovely. At my vets they have leaflets in reception for a service local to here, maybe they will at your vets too.
